The Opening Event of the CPDP 2022, the world-leading privacy law conference, this year was organised by the Brussels Privacy Hub together with Nym on May the 22nd evening in Brussels (Area42 in Schaerbeek).

After the first part, with Chelsea Manning and the CEO of Nym, the second part was organised by the Brussels Privacy Hub. The moderator was Gianclaudio Malgieri, co-director of the Brussels Privacy Hub, while the guest speakers were Mireille Hildebrandt (VUB), Ivana Bartoletti (WIPRO and UniOxford), Louisa Klingvall (DG Just, European Commission) and Gabriela Zanfir-Fortun (Future of Privacy Forum).

The topic of the panel was the protection of human vulnerabilities in the proposed AI Act.

It was also an opportunity to launch “VULNERA”, the International Observatory on Vulnerable People in Data Protection, co-led by the Brussels Privacy and Future of Privacy Forum (FPF) and coordinated by Gianclaudio Malgieri and Gabriela Zanfir-Fortuna.
