The interdisciplinary conference on “AI and transformations of the legal sector”, organised by the Catholic University in Lublin (Poland), will address some of the best research and achievements in Artificial Intelligence and its intersections with the legal sector. The law is in many ways particularly conducive to the application of the possibilities provided by Artificial Intelligence. Machine learning and law operate according to similar principles and legal methodology is the type of activity to which machine intelligence can fruitfully be applied. Nevertheless, understanding the business value of technologies such as AI is essential to staying ahead of the competition.

Professor Dr. Gianclaudio Malgieri will be one of the Keynote Speakers and his presentation will be about “Justifying rather than explaining: a new way for AI Accountability under the GDPR?
